All lives matter and serial killers are sick people who need help. We should not kill for revenge, instead we should get them the love and help they need. Anyone who kills is disturbed. We can't keep judging them as evil when we don't know what is going on in their mind. And killing them will not bring the lives of the victims back and we can never bring them back either. Instead, we should make an effort to understand them more. Many killers have either paranoid schizophrenia or psychotic disorder and the rest of them are also disturbed whether it's physically, mentally, sexually or emotionally. The crime rate has not changed and we have had the death penalty for centuries. The death penalty kills people not crime. Thousands of people have been executed in this country and some were even innocent. Sign this petition to help stop the government from killing human beings!!

I am currently compiling the arguments provided in the petition comments into a formal brief for the state oversight committee. Legal counsel reached out to discuss the potential for a stay on upcoming executions based on the data we have gathered. Expect a report on their response once the correspondence is finalized.

The increase in support has moved this issue into the public discourse in a way that necessitates a formal response from state officials. I am currently finalizing a letter to the governor and our legal team is preparing to schedule a meeting with key policy advisors.

I just think it's twisted how society punishes murderers by murdering them. It's also punishment to their family.
nothing but irony is valid in the act of killing those who kill to show that killing is wrong. the death penalty is for a fact, legal murder. not a single crime should be an excuse to rid someone of their own life or freedom— we should protect and offer help to those who need it.
Everyone deserves a second chance, not to die.

Stop death penalty it proves nothing but that killing is ok find people for these help needed people and not death show are children and the world that killing is not ok
no one should ever be killed. A punishment in jail should be enough.
It's time to stop the killing! We should end capital punishment!

I always was against the death penalty and I'll always be. The government should not have the right to take your life, that's tyranny, not justice. We must end the death penalty now, for real justice and freedom. Long live mercy.
