For many years, all I have heard is 'the arts are for stupid people' and now this negative perception must come to an end . The arts hold such a key place in the UK's economy, it is time that we stand up to the government and say enough is enough, we deserve to have exactly the same opportunitys as a doctor or a lawyer would, discrimination against the arts must stop.

the arts are so important to Britain and the young aspiring dancers, actors, musicians and so on. After being at boa for 2 years I'm bored when ever I'm not in school. When people say the arts are their lives, they are not over exaggerating. Most people don't have a back up plan if they don't succeed. The arts are their lives

The arts have made up most of my life, and I want to continue pursuing this as a career. I want to give other people the opportunity to have what i was able to have when i was younger. Please stop cuts!!

This is honestly so heartbreaking to hear because without these funds then me, and many others, cannot reach our dreams of being in the performing arts. Why is our dream less important than other areas?
