If we are to truly commit to the creative economy, as our new mayor promised, independent artists and arts organizations need increased resources from the DCCAH. Artists and organizations depend on these resources to leverage other funding that enables them to create art that attracts residents and millions of tourists each year.

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities is a blessing to the wonderful arts community. They are necessary and do so much to assure our great city remains great, vibrant, and a destination for tourists and inhabitants. Please increase their funding - it goes further and makes a bigger impact than most anything you could fund. Thank you.
