For my 2 autistic children, especially my son who is now struggling greatly since his support has been cut!

I find it absolutely appalling that these cuts have been proposed without assessing the need of children in the council. The educational need for support for learning staff should outweigh cost cutting, not to mention the long-term impacts to both individuals and the wider community.

Some Children really need the support these teachers give as the main teacher is too busy to give them extra attention . Please think of these non A grade students!!!!!!!!!

Our children, all children. have a right to a good education. Why should children that need extra help be treated as second class. Every child is equal and ALL deserve the best education.

This is a disgrace, the highland council tried to do this in caithness & highlands but the parents stood up to them. You have to speak out now before it’s to late.

Please sign and share. This is deplorable and must be fixed ASAP. And, if not already a GMB Member, please sign up too. If you have a voice, they'll make sure it's heard.

OIC should be disgusted with themselves for making cuts to any support services for our kids eduction.

Absolutely ridiculous! The Highland Council tried the same and us parents spoke out! What about GIRFEC? what about the additional support needs legislation and also the discrimination Act and Equality Act! They cannot justify this. It will impact on those most vulnerable!

My son wouldn’t be at the level he is today if it hadn’t been for the support for learning assistants, he had behaviour problems and epilepsy - the very thought that he might not have had the support he did get then makes me feel ill, the thought that other families in need could do without is awful please re think your decision.

If the councillor had a children that used this service would it be cut I don't think so are we not all meant to help children to achieve their goals in life how is cutting them out of vital help going to get these children to where they want to be without the support for learning.

It is imperative that all young children receive adaquate support for learning. Cutting the support for children with learning difficulties will impact them for the rest of their lives. I'm against this proposal 100%

Support staff are as important as the teachers! The kids look for them every day to help them and further them with what’s going on in the classroom!

Cutting the budget for support for learning is taking from the most vulnerable children in our communities. There must be another way.
