Coral reefs are an essential part to the ocean's ecosystem that inhabits many organisms that rely on it for survival. Due to destructive fishery practices such as bottom-trawling, dynamite fishing, and cyanide fishing many coral reefs have become damaged beyond repair while others are still under serious threat.
