I experienced the original Common Core, under Jeb Bush in Florida! It was horrendous & almost ruined my child's education and future! Then, worked in Texas - hallelujah! At least they were pushing back and for good reason! Now, back in my home state of New Mexico - UGH!!! I work in the armpits of Common Core and hate every moment of it! What the hell were you thinking? Oh, it was the monetary exchange that convinced you! I see, but don't agree... on any level!!!

Thank you for doing this, I am very frustrated by this and would like to know why the goal is still not met, or even passed by. I suppose people are just frustrated but not seeking out ways to do anything about it.

As a parent of three children, one in high school. This curriculum instead of being better it has crippled three from meeting goals to widening the gap in their education almost to the point of failing had it not been for parent intervention and lots of fighting school personnel to get results. Common core curriculum is standard. Not every child fits standard learning. Not every child is just standard, not every child is nonstandard, but almost all children have their own understanding of what they learn.

Common Core is the absolute worst thing to be doing to our children!!! It has been proven to not work and only serves to hurt our children educationally.

Get this nonsense out of the schools, no doubt it is dumbing down kids, & I am sick of it! Look at the states who do not use common core, & have higher graduation rates than N.M.! It's not rocket science!!

I just took a long look at Common Core math and it is a joke. How is this preparing our kids for math in the real world.

The district has the right to go back to the way it should be. All they want is funding, but for that, they sacrifice our kids. Have you all seen how they slowly start forcing Islam crap into their brains? STOP, NOW!

This needs to stop. You are making things hard for our children in an already tough world. This "core" makes things difficult and you are setting our generations up to fail. Think about that.

This has to stop. Education has to be returned to educators! Not government. This is the land of the free! We need to take back our country, let's start with our children's future!

God, Prayer and standing together is the only way we'll win this war against common core!

State representatives should realize that exchanging our children's ability to receive a proper education for federal funding is not only wrong, but serves only their own purposes/agenda and is not in the best interest of those they are supposed to be representing. I know many teachers, and have yet to encounter one who thinks common core practices are beneficial to anyone they teach. If the teachers (who are truly responsible for educating our children) disagree with these teaching standards, then why would anyone want to adopt these practices? Again, federal funding is NOT an excuse!
