Common core is not in the best interest of the students of Kansas. The cost alone, not to mention the loss of control is frightening.

Please get the federal government out of our schools. The power must remain with the States, Districts, Parents, etc.

Please stop common core. The kids and teachers don't like it and it pulls families apart as parents can't help their kids with their homework.

We are against Common Core because it takes away the rights of the people and the states.

This is just another way for the feds to be involved in every aspect of are life's. People need to wake up and see what is happening to our country and our Constitution.

Common core threatens the future of homeschooling, and that does not sit well with me or many others.

We battled something similar when our oldest boys were in school. Put youngest in private school and never looked back. This seems worse.

The more I hear, the worse this is. We must stop CC in Kansas and retain (or regain) our state sovereignty. Loss of Freedom is always only one generation away, and we must fight to keep and education our children in the greatness of our country's history and the cost of freedom.

After looking into Common Core and seeing what it is and now beginning to see my 11 yr old granddaughter literally cry when she brings math home to work on...and then hearing how the whole class is having to redo the math all over again in class because 98% of the class doesn't get it. She has been a straight A student, this year she is barely hanging on with a B / B-. It's ridiculous. I've even seeing her reading level effected. Her grade is changing there too...She used to love school, but this year, not so much.

The power to change education comes from allowing parents more of a role in their child's education. Change happens locally much more effectively when people are personally invested. We have to get rid of common core.

Please STOP Common Core. Nothing about it is helping our children. Put education back in the hands of the educators and states. Education is not one-size-fits-all.

Our family is 100% against common core. This is the worst thing conceived for our childrens future to keep them held back. We are standing up against common core!
