Support Local Control of Education in Kansas - Stop Common Core

Kansas has no place for Common Core. It is unconstitutional!!

We must get back to our local schools and parents being involved in their children's education. I am so alarmed at the term "workforce" used by the architects of CC. Our children are individuals with their own dreams. Not common core robots that will be shoved into whatever part of the ""workforce they think necessary.

Keep the Federal Govt out of our education system.

Say NO to Common Core!

Education should be under local control. The education of our children is too previous to leave in the hands of Washington bureaucracy.

Please do everything in your power to stop Common Core in Kansas.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. And a terrible thing to hand over to a nationalized system that aims to silence truth. We must use our voices to stop Common Core now.

I do not want the Fed Govt in our State business! I want a law of Nullification where Ks can nullify any Govt law!

Common Core is not local or even state control as required by the US Constitution. In quality & rigor, it's a step backward, not forward, in providing quality education in our public schools. Much like Obamacare where one has to buy coverage one doesn't need or want, Common Core is being implemented in superior & highly effective schools where it's one size fits all curriculum is definitely not needed.

My spouse and I are college graduates, each earning 6 figure digits in the business world. However, we are often unable to assist our 3rd and 5th graders with their homework. Our children who use to earn As and Bs and now struggling and coming home with Ds and Fs. As parents we're frustrated. The children are discouraged. There are several VERY creative and talented teachers at our school that are now being held to the daily Common Core standards and are becoming average teachers who are unhappy in their jobs.

Go get them.

This is just the start. Parents must become much more involved in classroom curriculum. We can no longer afford to have our schools teaching our children to be good citizens of the world first and Americans second.

Common Core is from the same dangerous root as Obamacare. Catholics must engage in this battle.
