It is beyond ridiculous!! These kids are taught growing up, before entering grade school, how to add/subtract by parents that learned the old fashion way (9+7=16, not 9+1+6 ->10+6=16) and it causes both the child and parent(s) to become frustrated and upset!!

Common Core is ridiculous. It is not helping our kids it is discouraging them due to the fact that they do not understand. Why fix something that is not broken. 20 extra steps to get one answer is absurd. Lets get common core out and go back to how we were taught to begin with.

Common core is completely ridiculous! My son knows regular math but with this common core stuff it's actually hurting his grade because it's so confusing.

This common core is making our smart kids less intelligent.. It takes longer to add or subtract.. If our children are supposed to get smarter then we need to quit making them stupid with this crap!! Our children could fail because of this!!

I was not even asked my opinion on this..it was just presented...it is absurd and the most ridiculous thing I've seen! Fed gov keep out of our schools !!!

We do not need to make everything so complicated! There is no reason the schools need to BUY tools to teach & test our kids. They are already cash-strapped. And the "dangling carrot" of cash from the Federal Government is laughable, to say the least.

My daughter has excelled in math until this year. She is now struggling to understand and keep on track.
