Children have the right to be individuals, parents have the right to chose for their children and local communities have the right to govern themselves in America. Common Core is destroying they rights, our children and our future!

Ada...... The choices made for the money are not in the best interest of the children of Idaho. Our children are diverse, unique, and with gifts and talents not to be measured by the SBAC preparation and testing. Allowing so much personal information to be given to complete strangers goes against everything that Idaho fights so hard for. Have any of you been in a classroom lately? It is NOT working..... trust in the teachers to do what they have been trained for... to embrace a teaching style that addresses all the aspects of a child; cognitive, physical, and emotional.

Latah. Stop telling me I have no authority to act for my child in the "no opt-out" clause of testing. I don't ask for your permission, nor will I ever ask for your permission. What law gave you parental/guardian precedence? Get out of this business!

Common core is not what we need. The focus is wrong and a waste of precious time and resources. It will not improve public education. Quite the opposite. Have the courage and moral fortitude to get us out of this mess and get back to what a real education should look like for our children. Smaller classes and higher pay for teachers, could we just start there?
