Shame on the ELECTED officials who got us in this mess! No matter how good or bad a person may think the CCS are, CC violates our states rights and takes away all local control of educating our children. They (the elected officials-who claim to be conservative) have sold our birthright for a mess of pottage!

Common Core is a bad, bad idea leading to a much bigger problem. No way a simple math problem should take 10-15 steps to solve. Ridiculous!!!

Indiana just dropped CommonCore this week. Idaho needs to follow their lead and put educational control back at the state level.

I am a retired teacher after 53 years of teaching at the high school level, and I am totally opposed to education ideas which come from the centralized government... first of all because the fed in education is entirely unconstitutional, and secondly, ONE SIZE NEVER FITS ALL! Every child is different, every school is different, and the best system involves local control of content, policy, and guidelines. I have been associated with several attempts at the federal level to "improve education" and though all well-intentioned, not one of them has had a positive affect on the actual education of kids, most have been simply a waste of money, and non productive. KEEP LOCAL CONTROL COMPLETELY!

We have to stop common core. It's really the dumbing down of America. We need to pray to get rid of this monster who is destroying America.

I cant help my Grandchildren do their homework. My son died of Accute Leukemia in September 2013 and there were a few different educated professional parents trying to help his now Fatherless children and none of us could help them. Our children will suffer. Why?

Cassia. It is time for people to wake up and see the writing on the wall. start spending our education dollars in the classroom where they make a difference and stop waisting our money on data mining warehouses and all the bureaucracy that comes with it?

I think this common core math is the worst. Do the teachers even know how to teach anymore ? They don't use text books or send examples home so you can help your child. All the teacher does is pull it off the internet and we are paying for this. We need this changed.
