I have lost count of the day's education my son has lost in the past 7 years. There is no reason if the school must continue to be used that a section cannot be separated and used as the polling station but the Church is a much better option.

Very unfair to ask parents to take a day off work and for our children to miss full days of school.

Other local polling stations should be considered. Arranging alternative childcare is stressful and costly for many families.

It's terrible that you close the school for elections, compromising the education of 600 children (to grow as the 3rd class goes further up) and force parents to take annual leave to cover childcare but then we aren't even able to vote there. I had to drag both my children 4x the distance to our designated polling location than would have been the case if we voted at the school. So if those living closest don't vote there, why is it a polling station at all? I don't mind going further to vote but not if we're also losing out due to the school being shut.

To use the church for elections is a great idea as I reckon school should be run normally and Kids shouldn't have to miss on a day of education

I am a parent and an employee at the school and enough is enough they need to stop using the school and find an alternative use

This really is a no-brainer. No reason at all why the school should be closed, least of all when parents are threatened with such dire consequences for taking their children out of school for even a day or two.

It’s really not necessary for ESPS to be used for polling when there is other options!!!

It really is time to change the venue of the polling station to the Pentecostal Church a few minutes walk away. Our childrens education needs to come first.

There are numerous alternative venues for a polling station in the area without closing the school. Just think of the man hours lost from all the parents having to take a day off!
