The urgent care centre at "Branson Hospital" has been serving the community for over 50 years. Since 1997 its use has been restricted but it still provides a useful service to the community. The problem, as I see it, is that NYGH is trying to close the facility without adequate public consultation. I feel strongly that NYGH should at the very least postpone the closure to give time for hospital officials to meet with the community and determine was is best for all concerned through a co-operative and OPEN consultation process. My request is for North York General is to open a sincere dialogue with the community now to come up with the best solution not their solution.

The Branson site is one of the only convenient places anywhere in the northern part of Toronto to receive urgent care and minor surgeries. It would be shameful for North York General (and the province) to allow it to be closed. You can't put condos everywhere.

I have been there and the care was great . The stupid government should be opening
More Urgent Care Centers to take pressure off hospital emergecency rooms .
Better to waste $$ on E Health and Orange I guess .

Biggest mistake to close the urgent care centre. It serves such a need for people. It helps with waiting in emergency rooms. It has been a life saver for our family and friends.

I have used this numerous times and brought my kids. It is the closest UCC to us. Much faster than going and sitting at the Emergency Department at NYGH. Instead of closing they should expand the hours!
