Stop the Closing of the Branson Ambulatory Care Centre

have pity on elderly patients if exchecker cannot afford expenses the politicians rather than giving false consolations and solace must contribute and reduce their benefits and perks from government reduce barbeques and parties given for political gains this includes local Corporaters,MLAs and MPs

have pity on elderly patients they save time to be treated if expenses are unbearable by exchecker reduce your comfort and luxuries including freezing salaries for couple of years

I was born here in 1964, Had my life saved here in 1993, and it deserves to be saved

Hello all. I'm a new member of the Bathurst Manor community, and I’d like to inform some of you other members about an alternative location I have found. I was made aware of this place - called the Polyclinic - by my real estate agent when I moved into the community. The polyclinic is located on the south-west corner of Dufferin and Finch. I have read through the comments on this petition page, and it seems like everything that was/is offered at the Branson Urgent Care Centre is also offered at the Polyclinic and then some. As I come from busy New York City, the huge parking lot (which offers free parking!), the easy access to an extensive list of medical services all under one roof, and most importantly the urgent care clinic that has a fast line and accepts everyone (yes, I’ve need to use it before) are all very important factors that I think make the Polyclinic a great substitute for those used to Branson. It about a mile away from Branson, and a quick 2 minute drive. I deemed it important to share this information with those in panic about this closure, so they may have peace of mind being knowledgeable about another option.

Closure of the Branson Urgent Care Centre means abandonment to many seniors who are an aging and this area is much less a mobile community given most seniors living close to Branson do not drive. We need Branson's Urgent Care to remain open for all living here! Having to travel to Humber River/NYGH means more time is required. How many seniors will die especially in the winter,during the extra 90 odd minutes it will now take them to get to another hospital. NYGH president and CEO Tim Rutledge, and also the Advent Health Care Corporation President Brian Fenton are G-dless to allow this closure! How much is a life worth at Finch and Bathurst ? What goes around...Comes around....Karma rules!!!

This is an important fight! We have to win!

Branson Ambulatory Care Centre is a vitally important community resource. Thousands of people in the area who are elderly, poor, too ill to use public transit, or otherwise vulnerable will suffer an immeasurable loss if officials allow Branson to close.

Very useful facility. Absolutely crucial to the North York community.

We have used the Urgent Care center several times and found the service very good.

I'm against the closing of hospitals. Why are we closing hospitals as our population gets larger? It makes no sense.

love this place..can actually receive required hospital services eg. xrays in .....essential not an option. If it closes we are looking at 6 hours waits at north york.

This place saves me HOURS vs going to North York General Hospital

I truly believe that the community will loose out on the amazing service that Branson provides from the elderly, single young mothers & children. As terrible as it is to be at a hospital Branson makes it a little bit easier and they genuinely care at Branson you are not just a number they treat you as a person & want to see you get better. I have lived in the community for over 10 yrs & any time I have had to go there I have been taken care of with genuine concern & respect and you don't see or feel that at most hospitals. If Branson closes it will have a negative effect on the community.

North York General Hospital has an overcrowded emergency room and it takes hours to be seen, despite the best efforts of the staff. With the closure of the Branson site, the crowds and wait times will be even longer and more uncomfortable. Not to mention the additional travel distance and vulnerability of the young and the elderly to the more severe illnesses at the Leslie St. Site. It was a wonderful idea to have the Branson site become an urgent care centre to take care of more minor illnesses and injuries and allow the emergency room to be used for more serious matters.

Our neighbourhood and community has very few easily accessible medical and basic necessity type facilities. With the number of schools, elderly, new immigrants and low to average income Canadians present in the vicinity one can not in good conscience shut down such an essential service. When I was 8 yrs old and fell off the jungle gym at Yorkview Elementary, my mother a new immigrant with no vehicle and poor English carried me in her arms to Branson to make sure my arm wasn't broken as the pain was so intense. In my early 20's, working 60-80 hrs per week I was not able to make it to see a doctor. Late at night when I finally got off work the pain in my back was so extreme I could do little more than limp my way up the street to Branson. The pain had me in tears, sobbing. It turned out it was a kidney infection at it's peak... just a few days more and I would have been hospitalized. The story goes on and on and on of the history myself and my entire family have had with Branson and how it's existence in our neighbourhood saved our life almost literally so many times. Consider how many children, severely ill, and elderly you would force to travel on TTC for a half hour or more just to get to an emergency room or a doctor of some sort. Do not take Branson out of this community, It has been a savior to all of us for generations.

This hospital is so useful for people who have emergencies & no way to access anothe hospital at the moment. It helped me before & I hope it stays to help me in the future!

Branson should stay open as it is easier and faster for the people in the community especially the elders to get to rather than having to drive 25 mins to North York General and having to wait for their turn.
