I was there, and their security shameful actions with the students, no valid reason was given. They only justified that they looked poor.

Take serious action against the cruel management of Dollmen Mall they misbehave and they get the students of a Govt school students which were came to visit the place they get then out of the mall including their teacher because they are poor

What Dolmen Mall did is shameful. Stopping children just because they “look poor” is discrimination and against basic human rights. Every child deserves respect and equal treatment. Dolmen Mall should apologize and ensure this never happens again.

We strongly condemn the incident at Dolmen Mall and stand in solidarity with the students. Such acts are unacceptable and we demand justice.

I am writing this review to strongly condemn a shameful and discriminatory incident at Dolmen Mall Karachi against government school children. On a picnic day, a group of students from a Government High School in Mirpurkhas came to Karachi, many of them for the first time in their lives. Their families and school spent a lot of money so these kids could see the city and visit a big mall in their own country. When they reached Dolmen Mall Karachi, the security at the entrance stopped them and refused to let them in. There was no misbehavior, no security issue – the only “reason” was that they were government school students and they “looked poor.” This is not just disgusting and inhumane, it is also against the law and the Constitution of Pakistan: Article 14(1): The dignity of man shall be inviolable. Dolmen Mall’s security humiliated these children publicly, as if they are not worthy to walk into a mall. Article 25(1): All citizens are equal before the law. These children are citizens of Pakistan. Treating “rich-looking” people as welcome and poor children as unwanted is clear discrimination. Article 26(1): There shall be no discrimination in access to places of public entertainment or resort. Dolmen Mall is a public entertainment place. Stopping children at the gate because they are from a government school and look poor is a direct violation of this article. Dolmen Mall is operating in Pakistan, not in some private kingdom of the rich. A commercial mall does not have the moral or legal right to run class apartheid at its gates. Those children had dreams. They came with hope to see Karachi and visit a famous mall. Instead, they were treated like second-class humans just because they were born poor. Being born poor is not a crime. The real crime is this kind of arrogant, heartless behavior by security and management.
