Visiting La Mesquita in Córdoba was one of the most striking, moving and spiritual moments in my life. One cannot help but be worried that the Catholic Church, who have already shown their disdain for the mosque by erecting a cathedral 'en pleno centro' of this wonderful building, will not have its best interests at heart should it be allowed to take over control of this gem.
