Mosque should be preserved as a mosque. Please do not ruin its identity as other countries can also start this by converting the respectable places according to their religion. Respect others to be respected.

The cathedral-mosque should remain public property. The fact that only Christians are allowed to use the cathedral-mosque as a place of worship - exclusivity - is not in keeping with the example of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre within the Christian Quarter of the walled Old City of Jerusalem where the status quo is established for times and places of worship for each community to be strictly regulated in common areas.

What a shame for so-called modern part of the world...You can't erase history by doing these silly acts. Let Muslim worship there, it's their right. Common that's too much now.

1. That the Mosque of Cordoba should be protected as a UNESCO cultural heritage site; that it should be recognised as a place of worship for Muslims as well as for Christians, and that UNESCO should provide for its future preservation.
2. That the continuing building of further chapels into the Mosque areas should be stopped, along with any other desecration of the building.
3. That an area should be set aside in the Mihrab section for visiting Muslims to be allowed to pray, in what is still viewed by many as a place of pilgrimage.

This Great mosque should remain as it is today in public hands why does the catholic church think it has the right to "own" such an important historical building.

In my opinion this matter coming to light right now, during this time is one that is meant to help everyone unite... this should remain public property, open for people of all religions to join in unity and not separation. Keep it public as it's original intention when it was built. :)

This building should stay in public hands. It's role and accessibility to people of all religions and none should be enhanced by joint working.

I also visited the mosque a few day ago and was appalled at the partisan and one-sided presentation of the site in the guide-leaflet produced by the Church authorities. Clearly this site has a history of Christian worship that should be respected, as well as a long Muslim history, but equally clearly the local Church authorities cannot be trusted to look after it in a fair and equitable way. This is a great shame, since the site offers a unique and precious opportunity for coexistence and dialogue in a time when such dialogue is vital.

I visited the mosque last week and was appalled by the emotive language in the visitor's guide leaflet, whose assertions are based on spurious research and an unacceptably biased interpretation of historical events.
Been to see this beatifull building. Amazing!!!
