The smoke continues to drift into our windows every night and it is exhausting to keep fighting for the basic right to breathe clean air. I am still pushing for meetings with the local officials who have the power to stop this burning. We are staying the course even when it feels like nothing is shifting.

Reaching this level of visibility feels heavy because it confirms so many of us are struggling to breathe in our own homes. I am exhausted by the state of our air but seeing this momentum gives me the grit to keep pushing forward.

please stop with the air pollution. long term effects are serious and this issue should be addressed with keeping children and vulnerable adults in mind.
Could you outline the steps in the process to getting policies in place? Since air pollution travels, wouldn’t it be amazing to gain city or country wide support? Policies could gain more support if all governmental and ngo parties work together to increase investment in the education and cleanup of trash, so it doesn’t get burnt.

Should be stopped. Can not only be a danger for breathing in toxic things but also a hazard for walking by.
I was in TayHo during the height of the Covid Lockdown and back again after restrictions lifted. The difference in air quality was ASTOUNDING.

We have to stop the causes of air pollution as quickly as we can. Often, it’s the large companies paying a lot of tax that don’t care enough. They pollute in return of higher profits. Every single person can use less disposable plastic. Protest disposable bags, plastic cups and straws today. Separate your trash please, you will help. Encourage trash and crop burners to dispose of waste or vegetation in bins or in compost. It can be managed if everyone is aware. It cannot be managed if everyone thinks everyone else is doing it for them, and therefore just 1 time doesn’t matter. It really does matter. Buy a reusable bag and please don’t accept disposable plastic

Toxic gases are released into the air and it needs to stop. Inhaling the pollution created from burning trash is linked to many serious health conditions.
