My own part of the country in Yorkshire has been ruined by over development a strain on the roads, people and wildlife which this Government seems to have little regard for, why does it always have to be that local people are disregarded in the quest for profit?

I thoroughly endorse the views expressed and cannot emphasise enough my sadness and concern should you decide to bury our fertile agricultural land under concrete without thought of the future.

We need to keep our farm land to produce food for our own people and be more self sufficient. We do not need more people in Pagham the traffic is already terrible. The doctors are full and so are the schools!

We need better planning in Arun. Pagham is clearly the wrong place to build. We need sustainable development. Public transport needs to sorted out first and houses that have already been built should be used for homes.

Our friends live there and we don't want that thee happiness will be ruïned by building houses there . It's such a beautiful place to be but not any more if the view is gone. Such a pity.

Pagham is such a lovely place, it's such a shame to build it into another housing site development. We will need more Schools, GP's, etc, .....what will come next, a supermarket!!

Farmland is for growing crops not houses. There are not enough GP services for locals currently and the Pagham Road is one long queue at rush hour periods. Who can afford these houses on the local wages anyway. Schools are full and there aren't really any jobs except care workers paying the national minimum wages. Already enough new housing at Tangmere, Oving Road and North Mundam.

I WHOLEHEARTDLY APPOSE THESE DEVELOPMENTS. Each development comes with the supposed extras of schools/ doctors/ etc, however we will only get all of these if we submit to all three proposals. So only allowing one/ two means additional people/ demands on the system but not all the demands are catered for. Let alone the increased road traffic in a small village that the roads will not sustain, increased waiting times at doctors and hospitals already working well beyond maximum running capacity, schools and education will be adversely affected too!
Can these companies tell us how many children are currently on the waiting list for the Rose Green infant and Junior schools? Are there figures of numbers counting these current local children getting spaces in the new school- or would it be only the new children m are they only thinking of families moving in on these estates. Infant schools are only by law allowed up to 30 children in each class (any more is to the detriment of the children-I can assure you) so this new build two form entry will only take an additional 60 children per year group. Are these companies trying to suggest that in a proposed build of 1000 homes that there is going to be less than 60 children to fit into each year group, (don't forget current waiting the addition of current waiting list children) This is an unreasonable idea. Schools do not just pop up over night- adequate staffing, resourcing, etc- can take months- and in the meantime the children will need education -What will happen- they will be pushed into current schools. Expanding class sizes will strain resources, increase working stress levels of staff and lower the standard of education!
This is not the way forward!

Do they propose new sewer works, a new doctors surgery, new schools, drainage for increased flood water, maybe a nice dual carriage way from pagham to chichester bypass for all the extra cars on an already busy back road! Don't think so!

The pagham road is already ridiculously busy in rush hour traffic. Building this amount of new houses will only worsen this.

Too much building on farmland causes flooding also our Roads cannot cope with increased traffic.
