We the undersigned want to stop development on green belt land in Queensbury.
Bradford Council’s Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) says ‘550 homes will need to be accommodated on sites currently protected from development in the RUDP (Replacement Unitary Development Plan) which in the main is adopted green belt.‘
People signing petition (signatories) should live, work or study in the Queensbury ward area.

I just looked at the screen and saw the number five hundred staring back at me and honestly I had to blink a few times because I never thought this would actually travel this far outside of my own neighborhood. It feels wild to think so many people care about our local fields even if I am still stressed about those housing plans which clearly show they have no idea how much we need that green space for our sanity.

Accidents pulling out of Brighouse/Denholme main road Amount of Traffic particularly at rush hour Doctors overstretched, cannot provide appointments for current residents Schools overcrowded Should be kept as a farming rural area
Why when Bradford is full of old empty buildings Old Mills etc. why do you want to build on green belt land . We moved to Queensbury 27 years ago to be in a rural area .Not any more. Do the people who propose this plan actually live in Queensbury or even Bradford
Queensbury cannot cope with anymore housing estates,we do not have the facilities - 3 weeks to get a doctor's app is proof of that-Bradford council should build on brownfield land,but there again they are not bothered about Queensbury - shame on them-
We appreciate the need for more housing but the green belt areas are what makes queensbury the beautiful village it is, and the infrastructure of the local area is quite simply not developed enough to cope with all the extra housing.
Consider existing resources one month for a gp appointment no school places no bank not even a proper post office highways not fit for purpose at present I have to leave 30 mins early for work to avoid traffic delays ridiculous !
There is plenty of other land in Bradford that is not green belt.
There are better alternatives for new housing than greenbelt land.

Plenty places round BRADFORD INCLUDING OLD MILLS AND LAND. GET PEOPLE NEARER CITY CENTRE SO THEY CAN USE AND SHOP IN BRADFORD AGAIN. THINK OF HOW MUCH LESS POLUTION,PEOPLES LESS USE OF CARS. STOP RUINING OUR LOVELY COUNTRYSIDE.
