We the undersigned are heartily sickened and repulsed by the blatant double standard exhibited by the media of America. It is safe to say that more media time has been devoted by America's media outlets to this comparatively minor event since the story broke on approximately 1/8/2014 than has been devoted to covering the truly devastating abuses of power that have occurred under the Obama administration.

The Today Show on 1/9/2014, accusing Governor Christie of failing to exercise proper oversight of his chief deputies, demanded that he take responsibility for and punish the individuals responsible for executing the shutdown of the George Washington Bridge, even though he claims not to have personal knowledge of the event, yet there have been no such shows of moral outrage from the media for Fast and Furious, Benghazi, of the IRS political retribution scandal. The media have given the Administration passes on these events.

Therefore, we the undersigned demand that news outlets operated by NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, NPR, and others like them immediately cease and desist reporting on "Bridgegate" until such time as they demand that President Obama take ownership of and prosecute those involved in tese scandals - regardless of how high that list of names goes.

The President has repeatedly claimed not to have any knowledge regarding Fast and Furious, Benghazi, or the IRS political retribution scandal, just to name a few. Unlike "Bridgegate," which resulted in traffic jams but no deaths, Fast and Furious and Benghazi mismanagement resulted in the deaths of American personnel.

If it is right to hold Governor Christie responsible for "Bridgegate," then it is IMPERATIVE that you apply the same standard to President Barak H. Obama and DEMAND that he both OWN and PROSECUTE the misdeeds of his chief deputies - both present AND past.

We the undersigned DEMAND that the news outlets of America immediately CEASE and DESIST reporting on "Bridgegate" until they first hold the chief executive of the United States to the same exacting standard as that to which they now hold Governor Christie.
