There are better places for this to be located. Yes it every homeless person is a danger but it only takes 1, I don't want to take that risk.

Im all for people having a second chance but after attending a farce of a meeting Thursday evening I now know that the people that will be living here are going to be ex offenders,drug addicts & alcoholics. Opposit a school is not the place for these people to rehabilitate! Childrens safety has been put at risk for someone making money it is not right. The building had stopped been used as ut was unfit for purpose but now all of a sudden its habitable.

I'm extremely concerned for the safety of my daughter who attended this school,I took no comfort or reasurrance from the meeting and feel that the decision was made regardless of children's safety,

I really do not think opposite a school is the best place for this, surely there are other options available?

This is not the right place for this kind of facility, right by a school. It may not only be the homeless residents that are the biggest issue but the undesirables that are attracted to visit.

After attending the meeting Yesterday I still do not feel reassured that opening an accommodation for the homeless right next to a school is a sensible idea.

Homeless people should get the help they need but opening up housing right outside school gates is. a decision that obviously has not been made regarding the safety of our children! The community has not been informed and that was apparent in the 2 meetings held at Caludon Castle School.

Homeless people have a right to a home, however what category of homeless people will be living in the hostel? People just released from prison? Not only is the proposed hostel opposite a large school's gates, there is also a unit for difficult to reach (and vulnerable) teenagers.
