animal testing is ineffective, as well, since their bodies react to chemicals differently. For example, many animals find chocolate toxic, but not humans. This applies to other chemicals, and vice-versa.

its 2017 why are we still hurting innocent creatures for lipstick and soap. there are plenty of way to test things without being cruel.
