"WHAT DO WE WANT?" UTILITY RATES LOWERED NOW!!!! Concerned Citizens of Albany is asking all Albany, GA residents affected by the high utility rates to get all residents to sign their names and addresses. We are starting a petition folks! Go door to door if you have too, we will be doing the same in our neighborhood. We will be collecting all signatures on Saturday, August 24, 2019 between the hours of 11am - 2pm in Brooks Furniture Store parking lot at 1201 W. Broad. Albany WG&L thinks they can bleed us dry while we sit on our hands. We are almost at one hundred signatures so push harder because these people only respect numbers.

I am so upset and hurt!! I just don't understand how a bill jumps from $145 to $445 in 30 days. 4 high bill extensions a year but you can't even get that if you don't have 75% of the bill right then!! We need and deserve answers.
Just me and my son and we live in a 2 BR - it has been aroun 275 - 375 the past couple of months. Let me add this is not an old place with no insulation. My bill should not be this high. When I started living there a couple of years ago it was around 175-200.
I just want to know how I have a bill for next month and it’s not even here yet? From the start of getting service to now that doesn’t add up. Plus don’t you have to wait until the end of the month to get a meter reading to produce a bill?!
My bill is more than my rent. Noone is at home till after 5p. There are only 2 people in my house, we are rarely at the over 4 hours. I practice energy savings. We get behind in other bills and are frequently late due to high wg&l bill.
I really feel like they are price gouging. For one when technicians come out to read the meters the scan from the truck so how accurate is that? I really feel like we need another utility company. Something needs to be done about this. It is highway robbery!
This is gouging, pure and simple, and we will see to it that you are held criminally liable if if doesn't stop.
I suggest we all go solar, with the money they are charging we can pool together and go solar. Please report them to the FTC. We are stronger in numbers.

My utility bill has become outrageous over the pass couple of years. My light bill use to 2 nor more than 300 dollars with my children living in the home. Now that my children have grown up and moved on. My light bill has been from 418 to 589 per month.
