Because of the sensitive location of this airport - right in the middle of a residential area - city pursuit of significant operations expansion is entirely inappropriate without first consulting with and seeking the support of residents who would be directly affected.

Expansion of the Georgetown airport in this manner is inappropriate, unfair, and unwise – dangerous to the physical and social environment. The concerns and needs of the residential community should and must always take precedence over an expansion for commercial purposes when that expansion upsets all established expectations and investments by residents.

We have lived next to the airport for ten plus years and have, for the most part, been okay with the current traffic. However, any increase of traffic and the extra noise, fuel pollution, and danger of crashes (we have already experienced two incidents while living here) would be unacceptable to us and to our family, and especially harmful to our young grandchildren, who would be unable to enjoy the peace and tranquility of our Georgetown home. Other options are available. Do not make this mistake for the city of Georgetown.

I am against the expansion in number of flights to and from the Georgetown airport and any increase in any way.

Before we bought in Serenada 3.5 yrs ago we asked about the future of the airport. We were told was that the airport is strapped for cash, and there certainly were no plans for expansion. Clearly we were not told the truth!

I flew into this airport a couple of times in the late 1970's with my father who used to make regular fuel stops here when he went to reserve duty at Fort Hood. It was just a small country airport with a few planes which I understand is what the City of Georgetown always promised Serenada subdivision residents it would be. Then Dell bought the Austin Executive land (and private Austin aircraft was displaced) and a few individuals with influence saw $$$$ for themselves without thinking how this would affect those of us living in close proximity to the runways. 15 years or so ago a well know Williamson County land owner family made it known (before this community went "expansion" crazy applying for & accepting millions in grants) that they had property available north of Georgetown for a new airport.

It would be a misuse of federal funds to expand this airport.Additionally allowing larger aircraft to utilize this facility would be dangerous to the nearby community.

My family(with 2 children) live in the flight pattern for landing already. I do not want heavier, louder aircraft to fly over my family or my neighbors. Move it if you want bigger.

While both a former pilot and former resident in the area, at one time, I support my former neighbors in this petition. I owned one of the most affected homes, which was located at the very end of runway 18/36. I can attest to non-abiding noise violations during overnight hours. Since this was not/has not been addressed by past City of Georgetown administrations, the City now needs to take steps to either decide to contain the GTU air traffic at a previous/present level, or take the pro-active initiative to service the community appropriately and build an new airport/move the airport to a more viable location for the proposed traffic increase and then develop a plan to ensure that community/housing/education/etc expansion is properly managed to avoid this situation in the long-term future.

The City of Georgetown should look for a property further out of town with room to expand, rather than take a small airport, with no area for expansion, eventually trying turn it into an International Airport

Please realize increasing the size of aircraft will disrupt the lives of Georgetown 's citizens, causing much distress on our daily lives, plus the danger in which you place our families. We are alarmed for good reason and all citizens of Georgetown should be also.

We have been "neighbors to the airport" for 30 years. The city has failed to get input from the residents and has violated federal laws.
