Commissioners will meet tomorrow 11-17-15 at 6:30 pm at the Thomson-McDuffie Government Center. On the agenda is approving the 5 year expansion plan for the Thomson-McDuffie Airport. Please come and voice your concerns, The more people that come the better.

I do not think we need to expand before we are absolutely positive the airport is safe for assent and descent!

Just an update: They voted to keep the same engineering firm at the commission meeting on Wednesday morning. (3/2 Vote) They did however; take the expansion vote off the table so that the public can have some input on this issue. Hopefully we can get a meeting/public hearing together for citizens to voice their concerns and ask questions. I will update when we know more.

We are opposed to any expansion of the airport. This petition clearly lays out the reasons for our opposition. This is crying out for public hearings.
