I am beyond fed up with how management treats their residents and then expects us to take on liabilities of air bnb tenants. They’re catering to tourists vs putting those of us who pay (an insane amount) to call this place “home”.

Erika explicitly told my partner and me during our tour last year that "no short term rentals are allowed, meaning no Airbnb or similar services" and the shortest term was 30 days, which requires a lease. That was a major factor in our decision to rent at 1200. We have met dozens of "renters" who were/are here under circumstances that directly violate this "policy".

I’m only allowed one FOB as well and I have a 2-br! They say it’s bc it’s one fob per person on the lease.

On Saturday, May 15th, I observed two women, parked on P5, removing their bathing suits and urinating in a parking space. There were at least five people at the truck. They then returned to their truck for beer. I was in the dog park, and happened to look out the window in the direction of the garage. We live in a very nice building, and it is unacceptable to have this type of activity. Based on the marketing of this building, my expectation is that our apartments and the amenities are porvided for residents. 1200 Broadway is my home. It is my plan to live here for many years, and I am concerned that I may have made the wrong decision in moving to this building. Is this a residential building or a hotel?

I was told when we moved in that there was no Airbnb so it’s unfortunate that I’m having to sign this.

I was told during my “look and lease” by Erika that the property did not allow short term rentals such as airbnb. That was one of the non negotiables for me since I was moving to a city with a high amount of tourism. The building has since become a kasa site without disclosing it to residents. A big hassle for me is I’m only allowed one key for my 1br unit, so my own blood relative has to jump through hoops to let my dog out for me by signing in and out through concierge. It’s somehow against policy for me to have an extra key to my $2K/month unit to give to my dog walker since they did not undergo a background check and sign a lease. Background checks are not required to rent an airbnb. This means keys are just given to tourists who come here with the main goal of intoxication on Broadway but my mom can’t have a key to more easily let my dog out in the middle of the day for 30 mins, sober. The hotels are across the street, these are our homes, our amenities, and our community.
