I oppose the proposals on north Philips Avenue in Speonk NY. I believe updated research on the exsisiting plum, traffic, and limited available school size should be considered and studied before any of concepts are proposed. I also don't think that building a workforce affordable housing project near a train station that only runs 2 trains am and 2 trains pm is really what was intended when the housing authority stated they want to build near a transit system. Get your facts first and updated information before you proceed with any more proposal

Restore current building. And before growing our school district any more, lets expand the school building which has been too small for the community for many years already.

Why do we have zoning laws if they can be over-ruled or by-passed?Zoning laws are enacted for specific reasons, and each reason is of utmost importance to Southampton Township. This project is significantly outside of the enacted zoning for that area. We are not talking minor variance here.....Circumventing them to this degree would put in question all zoning laws. If Southampton town opens the door and allows this overly dense construction, it would then be hard for them to deny future builders/contractors to do same thing in other areas of Southampton Township. There should be no exception for this parcel of property, build what is within current zoning.

Build "as of right" the way current zoning intended. I don't see how 4X the intended density on 4.4 acres makes sense in Remsenburg-Speonk.
Recent news of Brad Bender's legal troubles and resignation should immediately suspend this project. Our community deserves a thorough investigation into Mr. Bender's activities, and until that is done the entire N Phillips process is open to question.

I don't support an expedited path thru town board and eased restrictions on community notification and or public hearings when proposed development grossly exceeds current zoning and town planning. Expediting 50 rental units on a historically relevant property is solely in the mission of bank rolling a struggling town housing authority and not in the interests of the community. I do support any developer pursuing as of right development which is indicative of a procedure and path to carefully plan and contribute to the community thru the development of this property under its current zoning. Our elected board should actively engage the community in light of recent events of fellow board member being indicted on drug distribution charges. We are gravely concerned with current events.
