Stop ABC from portraying an LGBT Relationship on "Once Upon a Time"

The fact that certain individuals are actually offended and threatening to boycott a show about fairy tales because it's a "family show" due to the creators trying to represent people from all walks of life is pretty disheartening. The show might lose some viewers due to their homophobic beliefs but might also gain viewers who are more open minded and just see a love story between 2 people of the same sex for what it simply represents and that's love is love. And some of these comments are simply mind blowing and all that is doing is showing the rest us how bigoted, hateful and small minded people can be.

Are you seriously kidding here. We live in the 21st century if a man wants to marry a man, or a women wants to marry a,women they have the exact same right that a man and a women has. Well done Once for exploring an LGBT relationship. I will not be signing this petition.

I should also add that whether or not there is LGBT representation in the media it will not affect whether there are LGBT people in real life. It just means people are more comfortable with who they are, they can see relationships reflected in shows they watch. Representation WILL NOT make your child gay/bi/trans it will just make them feel better if they are represented. Also no one is talking about there being sex scenes, just a relationship.

Statistically speaking some of you will have LGBT children (because it isn't a choice). You might think it won't happen to you, but it will to some of you. Or you'll have an LGBT niece or nephew or someone else important to you will be LGBT. Please think about how you are hurting these people. Your attitude will not stop your children being gay, or bisexual or transgender etc. It will just affect their happiness and your relationship with them. A lot of people I know who are gay have parents who objected to their sexuality. There have been two main outcomes of this - either the parent continues not to accepting them and they end up with no or a very strained relationship with child, or the parent realises that they need to accept their child how they are, but if this is the case there has been a lot of hurt and pain that could have been avoided before they get to this stage. The third thing that very sadly sometimes happens is the LGBT person commits suicide. How would you feel if your child committed suicide and you found out it was because they had been scared of telling you they were gay, or because they were being bullied by other people with attitudes like you? Think about it, because if not your child there is likely to be someone in your life who you care about who is LGBT. I am gay. I am a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a friend, a colleague, a manager, a neighbour who visited a housebound elderly lady. My LGBT friends are also a lot of these things too. Please, I know I am unlikely to change your views, but think about it. I am okay, your attitude hurts me a little, but I am okay with who I am, I have plenty of people in my life who love and respect me. But think about who else you are hurting with your attitude.

You can not be serious. OUAT have shown murder, theft, treason and a 18 yo girl getting married with a 50+ man AND you don't want to see lgtb relationship because you think it'll make your children this way? Did they murder after seeing Regina killing ? I don't think so. Plus don't be an idiot, you think your children know nothing about gay relationships? To all the people who say "Don't change the original characters" are you kidding? THIS IS THE PURPOSE OF OUAT, SHOWING US A DIFFERENT VIEW OF THE TALES WE ALL KNOW. Who says that a family show cannot have LGBT; I mean look at ABC Family's The Fosters it is filled with LGBT; and need i remind you it is on ABC FAMILY!!!!; so the argument "it's a family show" does not stand a chance. And as for "it's wrong for your children" ; I wish I knew about LGBT when I was younger. If you want to be a good parent you LET THEM MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS!!! I can't believe how stupid you all sounds. You should be more offended by their misrepresentation of real historical figures. For example: Robin Hood, was a real person, the peoole of Sherwood are offended, Robin Hood is not a fairy tale, And now the stupid Camelot storyline they are going down, Arthur Pendragon was a real King, the ruins of his castle still stand in Tintagal, Cornwall in the UK. The Arthurian stories are not fairy tales. That's what you should be offended at, not a lesbian relationship.

I think it's funny all of you keep pulling "ABC is a family network" into this, but ABC now has a new tv show coming out about a transgender...Not to mention OUAT has actually been speaking the truth about what really happened back in that time period...Like an 18 year old being forced to marry some man in his 50's (Regina/Leopold) which is still frowned upon today. Back then there was also incest and gay royals as well. Have you read the ORIGINAL Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson stories???? They're pretty dark and the writers are just being creative and exploring what would happen if fairytales existed in our world today....LGBT does exist in our world whether you like it or not...so the creators are going to add it in because considering how life was back in those time periods, more people were prone to same sex relationships, they just kept them a secret. In Maine, they just won’t have to...And again...watching a show with LGBT will NOT make your child that way. They make their own decisions. If you don't want to watch the show anymore, fine. But please don't bring your opinions to a petiton that could hurt people or get people in trouble with ABC or don't take away the writers' freedom of expression. Television and film are forms of art, as is writing. Art is a way to show the good and bad in the world and they’re just trying to show the audience what real love is. I and my family will not watch Once Upon A Time any more. I am a Christian and God says this is wrong. Maybe ABC needs to start up another station judt for the gays and leave out shows Alome

Although I care about the LGBT people in my life, but do not believe it should be portrayed in a family show.

Please do not add a lgbt relationship to your show. We will no longer watch it if you do.

I have nothing against lgbt, but this is a family show and small kids can be watchin this. Then it would make them curious.
