Will and Grace was a family show too, so is Modern Family, oh and The Fosters. They all seem to have no issues being a family show and having gays on them. Funny how that goes.

They always said they would add a gay couple eventually. It isn't political, its being true to life. Gays exist. Deal with it.

Maybe they should build separate washrooms, schools, restaurant sections, etc for them while they are at it. Oh wait... thats segregation and was made illegal back during the civil rights movement against black discrimination. My my you do need to get with the times.

We are not against gays, we are TOTALLY against what they do and what they stand for! I don't want to have to watch girls kissing, it's disgusting! Not just because it's wrong, I don't want my kids and the future generation to think thats normal! 6 year old kids nowadays think they might be gay!!! Kids should grow up not thinking about their sexuality and especially not forcing it upon those who are against what they do. They got there SCOTUS ruling, which really can't make laws. Now shut up! You got your "marriage", now quit bugging us!

Its not your show. Its the creators show and they always intended on adding a gay couple. Should have paid attention to their interviews.

The creators said back in season 2 interviews that they would be adding a gay couple in eventually. So this isn't anything new and you are just behind the times.

Please do not use this lovely series as a venue for furthering the anti-Christian sentiment in this county. LGBT is contradictory to Christian family values. This is not a condemnation of people's lifestyles.

This show as shown rape by a fifty year old man to an eighteen year old. Child abandonment by three parents. A mother come to claim her child even though she had no legal authority, child abuse, women selling themselves and all you have to whine about is the LGBT. I am appalled by how you all think it's a family show and how Disney and ABC should be ashamed of themselves. Did you all realize there was a gay couple in Frozen. A very popular film among little girls.

I am so disappointed at the announcement but not surprised that the creators have bowed to political correctness pressure. I stopped watching other shows that I was a fan of for more than 30 years, because of this same reason. I won't have any problem turning the channel.

Like the person above me said that have already changed the stories we have grown up with. That why the writers created Once to give different view on the classics and give them real world dilemmas and relationships

Reading these comments, I'm disgusted. Not because of all of the people who don't want lgbt characters on the show. Believe what you want to believe. But how you're doing this is atrocious. First off, if you are against this, you are discriminating. Don't try to say "I'm okay with gays, but don't put it on tv" or, my personal favorite, "keep this show without lgbt storylines. My brother is gay". Don't try to justify your beliefs. Believe them or don't, but don't try to soften it. Also, I think you all need to know what family means. Family is supposed to be a group of people who all support each other, no matter what. Having lgbt characters who are accepted would be showing the true meaning of family. Those of you who disagree, I'm probably not changing your opinions at all. That's fine. But don't pretend to be tolerant and then stand in the way of representation that is frankly not very prevalent right now. I'm not asking you to be gay or for you to think that it is right. But there are people who grow up not knowing that being gay or transexual is a thing, who feel their entire lives that they are inherently wrong, because they don't even know it is an option. Hiding it won't get rid of the lgbt community. It will only make them more uncomfortable in their skin. It will only lead to more teenage suicide. I know that none of you want that.

Disnsey should know better ? An Disney channel show called good luck Charlie with a bigger group of younger children watching had a same sex family so why can't Once have a same sex relationship

Everyone who signed this petition really needs to grow up. YOU don't have to be gay, but if other people are then that's THEIR RIGHT and you have NO SAY in the matter. It's not your duty to go round telling people who they can and can't be. So....GET A LIFE! :D
