To our community members, This petition is to stop the construction of a proposed building at the site of 2315 W Flournoy. Remember, Tri-Tayor is designatedas an Historic district. The building in question will be 5 stories tall with an estimated height of 55 feet. We have been trying to get timely updates from the Adlerman but it seems like he really has no interest in hearing what a few residents say. I am hoping that as a community, we can make more of an impact. The proposed construction date is Sept 15th which we just found out a few days ago, so Time is of the essence for signatures. The building has no positive impact or adds value to the neighborhood or our property values in general. In my opinion, this building only serves the interest of the builder. The building is also non-conforming to the area and would be very unsightly according to the adjacent properties.
The alderman is still ignoring our outreach which is exhausting but entirely expected. I am spending my afternoons checking zoning records and drafting new formal letters to the department. They think if they wait long enough we will just walk away.

Not another ugly modern building in our neighborhood. We need to preserve what we have.

5 stories?? That is way too big for this block. It sticks out like a sore thumb and ruins the whole vibe of the historic area. Stop this now.

The alderman acts like we dont even exist. This building does nothing for us and just makes traffic worse. Totally against this.
