Stop Private Jet Expansion at Hanscom or Anywhere

Walden Pond is a sacred place of peace which provides many people with a place of refuge. Today more than ever it is imperative to protect it.

Once trashed, Walden Pond cannot be brought back. It is a Massachusetts heritage site. Don't be the governor who lost it.

We’d be better off with commuter bus routes that extend to Concord, Lincoln, Acton. Expanding personal aircraft use is not suso.

Private jets should be taxed due to their disproportionately high pollution, not subsidized or otherwise supported by public institutions.

Please put an end to plans to expand private jet travel at Hanscom airfield. It runs counter to our efforts to reduce pollution by fossil fuels and noise that damage our health, wildlife, agriculture and world climate.

Concord

Please stop the Massport expansion plans.

Please do not allow expansion of Hanscom Field. It is big enough and fits with the area as it is.

Please do not allow Massport to expand private luxury jet capacity at Hanscom Field. That literally makes no sense. .

It will certainly not help us get to net zero

Governor Healey, I know your plate is full and it must be very difficult to prioritize the various projects that come your way. I am not one who normally signs petitions but I signed this because I truly believe this expansion will have a huge negative impact on all that we as a state are doing to attack the climate change issue. I grew up near an Air Force base and the sound of jets overhead was actually somewhat comforting. I live close to Hansom now and don't really mind the occasional sound of aircraft overhead. This petition is not about being annoyed by planes overhead. This is about a far greater problem, the future of this state, and frankly, the planet. We can make a difference! Thank you.

Please stop Private Jet expansion and Hanscom. As abutters of Hanscom we are also worried about noise pollution.

I live in Ayer and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Article 97 states: "The people shall have the right to clean air and water, freedom from excessive and unnecessary noise, and the natural, scenic, historic, and esthetic qualities of their environment; and the protection of the people in their right to the conservation, development and utilization of the agricultural, mineral, forest, water, air and other natural resources is hereby declared to be a public purpose."

The proposed expansion is totally unacceptable because of the detrimental environmental impact, birds, trees, wildlife.
