Stop Private Jet Expansion at Hanscom or Anywhere

Let's not build a facility that will serve a minority of individuals and release thousands of tons of greenhouse gases in the process.

Ban private jets.

It is disheartening to see so many private jets flying over when I have converted my home to heat pumps, converted to induction cooking, and taken many other steps to reduce my carbon emissions. Each weekend jaunt to Nantucket probably negates all the savings I have achieved. And for what? So some super wealthy person can get to the islands without the inconvenience of travelling with the rest of us. Please help make this right.

We should be working to end climate crisis, not expand it.

Please stop the private jet expansion at Hanscom field. We must discourage the use of the use of jet fuel in small private jets.

Private jets are the worst source of carbon dioxide emissions!

The amount of air traffic has increased and we have to cease the expansion now.

Governor, this is most urgent. We need to achieve net emission neutrality by 2030. Also, pls see NYT article today about a billionaire who gave up his private jet. Thank you!

Our town is working so hard to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions through homeowner and municipal actions. The expansion of Hanscom to accomodate private jet traffic undoes that. The economic benefit of having visitors arrive by private jet in our community (and in others) is not worth the GHG impacts we'll all pay thru less healthy air and more paved surfaces. This is a case of needing to stop digging the hole we are in with damage to the environment and repairing the damage we've already done.

I strongly oppose this project that will have adverse climate and other environmental consequences and undo the good work of sustainable Concord.

Jet travel is one of the most carbon intensive forms of travel. If we want to even have a remote chance of achieving the 80% reductions in CO2 by 2050 (as recommended by the latest IPCC report), then we have to phase out small group jet travel, not allow it to ramp up.

We do NOT need more small private jets zooming rich people around. Enough is enough.

We are very much opposed to Hanscom’s expansion.

We don't need to encourage increased capacity for private jets. They are not essential travel vehicles.

PLEASE consider the environment and do NOT allow Hanscom Air Project to move forward. It would be a real tragedy!
