Stop Private Jet Expansion at Hanscom or Anywhere

I grew up close to Hanscom, and we really don't need more private jets ther, or anywhere.

The proposed Massport expansion is almost as bad as building new fossil fuel infrastructure, given the excessive FF usage from private planes. Please stop it! Thank you.

I'm from Massachusetts, and while I don't live in the state anymore, I want to protect our air and climate for bay Staters and everyone else!

Let's think conservation rather than mass distinction.

There comes a time when we need to stop pandering to the rich at the cost of our planet. This proposed expansion at Hanscom is yet another example of the rich doing what they want without regard for the costs to everyone else. Please please do everything in your power to stop this project.

Stop private planes

With the prospect of climate catastrophe, private jet travel when there are easy alternatives is insane .

Money cannot buy us a healthy Earth. NOBODY is entitled to hasten its destruction just because you can.

This is not just a problem local to Massachusetts, but if you lead the way, others will follow. Let’s invest in a transportation future for all, not just the wealthy

Europe is closing these down. Once again, they are ahead of us. Get with the program.

I teach students in MA and they are extremely dedicated to and aware of climate change. Please help us know how we can help make change.

As has been pointed out repeatedly by other signers of this petition, the last thing we need is expansion of private jets. The very rich will, in all likelihood, not reign themselves in for the good of everyone else. We must set limits on environmentally destructive behavior. The environment is not a vague entity. It is the air we all breathe. We need to protect ourselves and all life from pollution. The extreme pollution of private jets is well known and cannot be allowed to continue.

The laws of physics can't be repealed, but the expansion of this private luxury airport can. Please take the only sensible action here.

Building more private jet hangars is akin to building a new gasoline station; completely incompatible with where we need to be going to address climate change!

I know full well the demand for private jet travel keeps growing, but actually encouraging that growth is the last thing Massachusetts, or any jurisdiction, should be doing in 2023. I love the state, and especially the Cape and Islands. Let's try to keep them above the water line and take care of the planet.

At some point we have to stop this foolishness.
