Stop Private Jet Expansion at Hanscom or Anywhere

Private jet owners can afford to be climate-responsible (whether they're business flyers or, especially, just rich high-consumption individuals).

Please do not allow rich people and corporations to add to the planet's greenhouse gas emissions!

Private jet use needs to go down, not up.

This is a crucial time in many ways: politically, environmentally, economically, etc. We need to make hard choices. We need to do the right thing. I'm not saying it will be easy, but it will be worthwhile.

The planet can't survive this sort of thing, so please stop this!!!!!!

Really? At this time in the climate crisis? It’s imperative that we stop excessive flying like this. Private jets have an outsize impact.

It's crazy to expand the capacity for hugely polluting private jets, when these people can take much less polluting commercial flights, like the rest of us.

Please close Hanscom Field entirely.

This is like investing in buggy whips in the age of automobiles, except with global consequences. Massachusetts can be a leader, and this comes from someone who is a pilot and used to work for Cessna.

I live in Maine, not Massachusetts. But air and pollution don’t recognize state lines snd private jet owners also own second (or maybe third or fourth) homes up in our state. Now is not the time to approve zombie fossil fuel projects like this, in Massachusetts or anywhere else!

I am writing to object to any expansion projects for private jets. We can't afford the carbon emissions they cause and should be weaning down the use of private jets altogether. Thank you.

This project is completely incompatible with limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees

As a Kiwi, I support preventing the expansion of the Hanscom Field jet port as the right thing to do. We’re also trying to prevent an unnecessary and damaging airport expansion at Tarras on our South Island. Thank you for your actions as climate champions!

Private jet travel must be a wonderful luxury...a luxury we can no longer afford due to the amount of GHG per person produced by private jet flights. So NO to the proposed private jet port expansion in MA.

Please stop this project which will further degrade our climate. This is madness!

Our life on earth/economy balance is out of whack. Private plane emissions are outrageous. I don't want to see what life will be like if we reach tipping points that 1.5 o4 2 degrees of warming bring. Stop this madness.
