I live 1 kilometer from Hanscom. Jets ignore the noise abatement rules and take off with full throttle at midnight. Stop them!

This expansion cancels out so much of the hard work going on at the local level to reduce carbon emissions and protect human and planetary health. The benefits for the few in no way justify the costs to the many!

Please do not allow expansion of Hanscom airport to allow for more private jet travel. Please prioritize efforts to limit greenhouse gases that affect all of us in MA and the whole world!

I live in East Boston where Logan Airport already causes asthma in children and cardiac and respiratory diseases in adults. One airport in the Boston metropolitan area is more than enough, much less an expanded one for only wealthy old men. OUTRAGIOUS. And the proposed downing of hundreds of trees is even more outrageous. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Gillian Anderson

As someone who bikes everyday and tries to use public transit as much as possible, it feels like a slap in the face when the state does not implement disincentives for private jet use.

We need to stop the profligate use of private jets - yet another example of the wealthiest people generating the greatest amount of carbon that hurts ALL of us.

Cutting down mature forests for the 1% just so they are not inconvenienced by traditional air travel is extremely short sighted. We need to protect that land.

If Massachusetts wants to act on the causes of climate change, this is a big step in the right direction.

I learned to fly at Hanscom. I have been a pilot for over 40 years, but the state doesn't need this. It will cater to the wealthy and impose an uneeded environmental impact on a fragile area. This expansion is not about Mass residence having access to easier transportation but about the wealthy not having easier access to the 128 belt. Aviators do not need it, in fact smaller traffic stays away from Hanscom because of the jets. Do not approve this.

Massachusetts does not need to accommodate private jets. They are one of the biggest polluters and the entitlement at the expense of the majority is enraging.

As an Arlington Heights resident, I have noticed an increased volume of air traffic flying over the area and do not want to see Hanscom Field enlarged.
