This would not work well in this residential area.

These types of places in residential areas, are problems! I personally know this because I have a mentally ill sister who was put in one of these type of homes, that was through Center pointe hospital. They take the peoples disability checks and give them government food. They double dip the system!!!!

Christopher Rd. is way too residential for this!

I am concerned about the lack of scrutiny this project will receive from the St. Louis County Council, and regardless of zoning, this facility in my opinion is not compatible with the current character of Christopher Road.

Christopher is a two lane winding street. The traffic created by this project will be dangerous

This commercial facility and the parking construction does not belong in a residential neighborhood

I'm sorry, but I won't be signing the petition. I recall mass hysteria about the adult care apartments going in on Telegraph next to the daycare center a few years ago. To my knowledge, and I live within a 1/4 mile of the facility, there hasn't been a single problem there since it opened. To be fair, I have a daughter who struggled with an eating disorder when she was in high school, so I may be more sympathetic to the issue than others, but I don't really see a problem with this facility. It is a residential facility, so the patients stay there for extended periods of time, and for the most part they are girls and young women with eating disorders. I've read all kinds of comments about crime, drugs and other scare tactics, just like I heard about the adult apartment facility on Telegraph. But none of those problems are likely to come as a result of a few girls living in an inpatient facility to overcome their eating disorders. I love Oakville, but there definitely seems to be a negative undercurrent to anything new. Another example, in addition to the adult apartments on Telegraph, was the new pathway into Cliff Cave Park. I heard the same histrionics about that walking/biking path as I did about the adult apartments; drugs, crime... But now that it is built, is a wonderful addition to our area. Based on all the people who take advantage of it, we have a very successful addition that makes Oakville a better place to live. Admittedly, I don't live next door to this place, but it is as close to me as the adult care apartments, within 1/4 mile. Maybe if I did live next door I'd feel differently, but I really don't think so.

Stop DONOT build a adult day center. They are sneaky. Same as the adult center next to daycare on telegraph. Shame on you

I feel like this is in an unacceptable location and there are numerous options to purchase commercial real estate along 231 (Telegraph) that will not impact such a close knit community.

With so many small businesses inlcuding bed and breakfast locations, etc. that will inevitably go out of business, why put a commercial type business in a residential setting. Enough is enough. Let our residential communities continue to be just that - neighborhoods where children are safe to run and play outside.

Though I am not unsympathetic to addictions of any kind and recognize the need for intervention/treatment, Christopher Drive is a residential neighborhood where residents purchase their homes for the scenic, private, quiet location. This is not the area for a For Profit Business Enterprise, medical or not. Eight to twelve temporary residents on a 3-month revolving basis will destroy the very ideals that residents choose to live in this neighborhood.

I am a nurse and feel our mental health care needs to be overhauled and improved tremendously. But I also feel that a treatment center does NOT need to be placed in the middle of a residential area !!!!!!!!! Too many issues that can arise from this!

I disapprove of this facility and have written to county supervisor and representative. Their response was it's perfectly legal which I disagree with.

This is a residential area! This should not be allowed! Shame on county council for approving it!
