I am unable to attend the Board of Selectmens meeting this evening, however I feel strongly that noise pollution is not taken seriously in our community. Does the DPW's use of leaf blowers at 5 am violate Massachusetts Noise Law (Regulation 310 CMR 7.10)?

I understand the need to begin clean-up before the business day begins, but people LIVE in this zone, and 5AM is an unreasonable time for loud gas-powered equipment. I say NO!

No one needs to be awakened at 5:00 in the morning. The early leaf blowing on Tuesday is also unnecessary.

Why do they need to start at 5 am? This is an unreasonable hour, esp since I live in the center. I am sure that the 30 families at Lexington Place are all against this unnecessary early start.

Having the Town Departments not follow Town Bylaws is unacceptable. No leaf blowing until it is legal for EVERYONE later in the day.
