Hello
While we appreciate the need for this type of facility, this is totally inappropriate for it to be built in this location. So near a school and right on a major walking street for kids to go to school is totally without considering the community and it's wellbeing.
Please stop this facility from being developed in this location.
Thank you,

To put a transitional house so close to TWO elementary schools and a church is a scandal, if not a crime. What's more, the house is to be managed by Luke-Dorf, who is currently the defendant in a lawsuit because one of their tenants sexually assaulted a Hillsboro girl in 2010.

We are very concerned about the proposed Transitional Housing Development at 170th & Bany. As a parent of a young family attending the local Elementary and resident of the area, we are deeply concerned that no guarantees can be given that sex offenders will not be offered housing and that people suffering from significant mental health issues will be living in the development. In light of the lack of public transport for the proposed residents, facilities and location, we ask that this space be used as a playground or other low risk development and not the proposed Transitional Housing development.

Children are required to walk to school if they are closer than one mile to their school. This puts to many unsupervised children within easy access to the residents of this home.

I live 1/4 mile from this location and I do not believe that this is the best use of this land. A small park for all the CHILDREN in the area would be more welcomed in this space

Although I agree with providing transitional housing for those that need help...I also want to protect my children who go to school near that location and live nearby. There are plenty of locations downtown that would be suitable for this transitional housing.

While the concept is good, the location is not. The proximity of this residence is too close to two elementary schools and a middle school. Most crimes that do occur are opportunistic and putting the safety of our children at risk is not acceptable. Please find an alternative location for this service.

Literally hundreds of children cross this intersection adjacent to this property twice a day. 1/2 block from Cooper Mntn Elementary, 3 blocks from Erroll Hassell Elem, across the street from a church. On the jurisdiction boundary of different policing agencies, so little law enforcement presence. Terrible location for usupervised housing.

Unsupervised and not fully supported adults with issues should not be this close to schools right at a corner where so many children walk by.

LD only cares about making money, not their clients, or the communities they impact with their facilities. Safety for children is most important.
