Hello Kelvin here from Crofton Downs Predator Free Community. Crofton Downs is a wonderful community and deserves the respect of due process as such. The CDPFC has had fantastic support from WCC, GWRC, DOC, Transpower and Bowen Hospital and has enlisted the help of 120 volunteers trying to make Crofton Downs New Zealand's first Predator Free Community as recently featured in the New Yorker Magazine. As seen by the recent Government's back-tracking on wholesale changes to the RMA, communities do not have the appetite for a seemingly aggressive lack of consultation.

This isn't an area which is suitable to being rushed through a shortcut consent, due process is required.

Ecological, infrastructure and liability issues mean this land area deserves a robust and thorough process of transparent deliberation & consultation.

I am Chairman of Trelissick Park Group and we are concerned about the effect of sedimentation in the streams through the Park, which is downstream of this proposed development - especially as the land is unstable. We are also concerned about fast stormwater run-off from the hard surfaces associated with such a development.

There are too many questions and issues with this land to not have a robust process for it.
