Westhaven- Additional Stop Sign at Stonewater Blvd. and Addison Ave.
To: City of Franklin
We, the undersigned residents of Westhaven, in agreement with the Residents Advisory Committee (RAC), petition the City of Franklin to install a stop sign at the intersection of Stonewater Boulevard and Addison Avenue within this subdivision.
There is a stop sign in existence on the opposite side of the road at this same intersection. Stonewater Boulevard is accessed from Highway 96 and has proven to be a main “cut through street” for the southwest side of the neighborhood. Vehicles are constantly speeding unabated up this street creating an unsafe environment for pedestrians, pets and other drivers turning onto this road. The residents of Westhaven agree there is an urgent need to increase the security and safety at this location by way of a stop sign. Our intention is to prevent any accidents or fatalities from occurring.

The City of Franklin can no longer ignore this neighborhood because our momentum is becoming impossible to hide. Every person who signed understands that we are done waiting for the city to address this reckless speeding before a tragedy happens.

FINALLY. This intersection is a nightmare.
Cars fly down this road all day long. Its only a matter of time before a kid gets hit. Do it now.
Crazy that it is not already there tbh. Fix this before something bad happens
I live right there and I am terrified to walk my dog. People treat it like a racetrack.
speeding is a huge problem in westhaven and this spot is the worst of it.
