The Dunlap IL park located in the Wynncrest and Stonegate subdivisions, known as StoneWater park, has not received the attention from the Chillicothe Park District we feel it deserves. There has not been any additions or play structures installed, no pier or car parking, and the maintenance during the spring and summer months is terrible. The Chillicothe Park District taxpayers would like a detailed plan with dates outlining the proposed completion of the park. By signing this petition, you are requesting the Chillicothe Park District to provide the public with a detailed outline, with dates, outlining what they have planned for StoneWater park, and how they plan to keep it properly maintained. The Chillicothe Park District is still ignoring our calls while the grass grows into a jungle. I am getting messages every day from neighbors who are sick of paying taxes for a weed patch instead of a park. They think we will just go away if they keep quiet but they are dead wrong.

The Chillicothe Park District can no longer ignore this level of community outrage over their total failure to finish StoneWater Park. This momentum proves that we refuse to accept their empty excuses any longer.

The park is very unkept and unfinished. They were selling that park idea when I first moved to area 6 years ago and nothing. We shouldn't have to pay anything into something thats unfinished.
I've been in Wynncrest for 8 years and have been given nothing but vague excuses and misinformation concerning this park. It would appear that our area is providing significant funding for Chillicothe's city parks and amenities.
The tax rate has more than doubled and it is a disgrace to see such poor maintenance of what could be a beautiful area. We as taxpayers deserve more than this. I would like to start enjoying that park while I still live here.
Please present us the development plan for the park as in lack amenities and basic infrastructure.
We were promised a finished park within a year of moving into our home. We just hit the 5 year mark.
