I suggest we petition our government to put the stimulus money in our hands. Under President Bush 130 million people received tax rebates. The suggested stimulus is 1 trillion dollars. If you divide that amount by 130 million it comes out to about $7700 apiece. That means a household with two tax paying adults, the average married couple, would receive over $15000. I don't know about you but I could use that money and it would get used. No better way to stimulate the economy than consumer spending.
