I have witnessed the sad state of our judicial system first hand and they continue to get away with it because there are too many people that either don't want to believe this can happen or directly benefit from the corruption (large and small) that is pervasive within our judicial system as well as our other branches of government. CITIZENS BEWARE: THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU!

This is the most egregious violation of juris prudence since the West Memphis 3. In his closing statement, the DA in Brendan Dassey's case stated "Innocent people don't confess." The TRUTH is that innocent people - especially the young, and those with low IQs - are PRONE to false confessions. And now, there is scientific research that supports this FACT (for a better understanding of how this type of police coercion can occur, read Stanley Milgram's work on obediance; for a GREAT case study example of the power of authority and coercion, check out what happened in the famous Central Park rape case). The coercive tactics used against Brendan are a case study in how NOT to interrogate a witness.
I was particularly appalled when he was required to fill out paperwork which began "We KNOW you are lying", followed by "Are you sorry for what you did?" and "Would you do it again?" What happened to the REQUIRED presumption of innocence until proven guilty? Why wasn't the first question in the multiple interviews, and on that form - "Did you REALLY hurt Teresa?". The automatic assumption of guilt this piece of paper garbage purports is only slightly less heinous than the fact that his lawyer allowed Brendan to participate in this discussion ALONE!
What happened to Len? Where are the sanctions / disbarment for his actions (including the fact that Len essentially stated that Brendan was guilty in one of his self-promoting interviews)?
If Stephen Avery killed Teresa, the state did NOT prove it behind a reasonable doubt. The lack of forensic evidence, let alone UNTAINTED forensic evidence, SHOULD be reason enough for a judge to throw out Avery's conviction - and if that isn't enough, then Judge Willis' allowance of the introduction of scientifically unsubstantiated testing should be reason enough. What happened to only allowing scientifically valid, reliable, and "universally accepted" testing as evidence?
Personally, I believe that someone is going to have to find the REAL

Saw the Netflix doco over here in Melbourne Australia...truely shocked by the convictions. I would be afraid of the justice system if I lived there! Free these men now, and compensate them for the pain and anguish.

Just watched Making a Murderer in one day, couldn't stop until I got to the end hoping to see justice done and was shocked to see that justice wasn't done. For Brendan Dassey his first court appointed lawyer wasn't just incompetent, what he did was surely criminal. No real evidence in either case. I can't believe they haven't both been given new trials.
