The individual who first started this petition, posted a video yesterday stating that he has received so much flack from this petition. He didn't understand why this was happening as he had the best of intentions. When I first heard that Steve may not release his album because the record companies wanted him to sign to multiple albums and he only wanted to do one, I wondered what I could possibly do. See, I'm just a couple of years younger than Steve and my generation took a stand when we believed in something. It seemed like as soon as I was wondering what I could do, Mr. Sunderstrom posted his video for this petition. I immediately posted to all 9 of the Steve Perry fan pages I was on. I, too, received so much flack from this. People were downright mean and resorting to name calling. It was never my intention to cause any drama. I love Steve Perry with all my heart, as an entertainer and as a person. I would be willing to do anything for Steve. So, I thank all of you who have taken the time to sign this petition. Steve will do what Steve wants when he wants to do it. I know and understand that. Maybe this won't take off like I had hoped, but I won't "Stop Believin" in Steve Perry, The Voice.

I need this album to get me through this semester in college and I miss steve

I've been waiting Steve Perry's brand new album for more over ten years! I won't die before I listen to your new album.

Oh, for the love of everything that is good and holy, please release Steve's new album. Don't pressure him for more. I promise you, the sales from this record will go through the roof as all of his fans flock to the stores to buy it. I imagine his work on this is flawless, just as it has always been and we, the fans, have waited soooooo very long. Please don't make us wait any longer!!

I just watched a new video from Mr. Sunderstrom who started this petition starting how much flack he received from starting this petition. When I heard that the record companies wanted multiple albums and Steve wanted one, I knee there was a chance there may be no new album. I thought to myself what can I do? I thought of a petition. Right after that, I saw the video with basically the same feelings I was having by the gentleman who started this petition. I was so happy that I wasn't the only one feeling this way. So I posted to all 9 of the Steve Perry fan pages I was on. Just like Mr. Sunderstrom, I received a lot of negative comments, downright name calling, hateful messages. And like Mr. Sunderstrom, I was amazed and confused by all the negativity. I am just a couple of years younger than Steve, any in the era I grew up, we fought for what we believed in with actions. Maybe it's a generation gap, maybe I'm all the things people said I was. I even thought of dropping out of sight. But I believe in Steve and I have the utmost respect, admiration, love, and passion for this beautiful man. I would never wish him to be upset over this. I still believe in the power of numbers. I still believe that together people can make change. So, I thank you all who signed this petition from the bottom of my heart. Don't Stop Believin'

Give Steve what he wants. You'll make your money. He has millions of "faithful" fans. And we will buy his CD. This man has given so much to the music world, you should grant him whatever he wants. It's the right thing to do.
