We need an overpass on the blvd not flashing lights! We will continue to have accidents at the trail if you do not build an overpass

The people of Sterling Park have spoken clearly about their concern over this beacon system. This is not a difficult intersection for trail users to cross if drivers keep moving. Keep the drivers moving!

Flashing lights ( if installed) need to face the bike trail!!! Cars have the right a way, make the damm bikes STOP. I ride a motorcycle and have had several close calls because cars stopped on the boulevard. It's just common sense

I think spending taxpayer dollars on the flashing beacon's is wasteful. Since a bridge wont be built, there shoud be a "keep moving" sign (much chraper) for vehicles to keep moving. Maybe cyclist will stop running the stop sign if they know cars aren't going to stop.

Nothing will improve unless bikers are forced to obey their STOP sign...nothing unclear about a stop sign!!

I agree with this and feel that flashing lights will only make things worse. We need a raised bike path/bridge.

I agree that this is a waste of money that will not fix the problem. The behavior of the cyclists and drivers must be modified, not just awareness.
In lieu of the very expensive bridge/tunnel solutions, I believe traffic must be diverted by a wall to an existing traffic light (to the west), where the behavior of through traffic and crossing traffic is already controlled.

This "solution" still does not address the issue. The traffic on this road far exceeds the effectiveness of the stop sign now in place and the proposed beacon. It will serve to further confuse the traffic on both the Blvd and the trail. If the bike traffic is unwilling to stop for a sign what makes you think they will stop to press a button for a beacon or wait for a beacon. As is they are unwilling to wait for a clear road. The flip side if you will, no one on the Blvd wants to kill a cyclist so the original issue will continue. Motorist will stop even when not required causing more traffic accidents and back up and further enabling the cyclists to not bother with the sign or beacon. If this were new construction this type of crossing we currently have or one with a beacon would not even be in the running as a solution. There would be an over pass. Please I urge the Board to do what is right put in an overpass. Don't wait for someone to die to justify it.

Flashing lights at this location will only further confuse drivers. There needs to be clear signage for drivers to proceed and that bikes are to wait for a clearing to cross. Lights will only make more people slam on their brakes and cause more accidents. Clear signage and increased enforcement are the only thing that is going to help this situation.
