They arrested me in Nov 2014 with no evidence hiked my bond up tried getting me to sign for 10 yrs then 2 5yr sentences didn't see my kids for 10 1/2 months and finally a month before jury trial dismissed the case I still lost almost a year with my kids and you do not see daylight in the jail whatsoever it is attrition

Yes you do get railroaded. I have fought many times against them and made Duncan Banner correct their statements. You must know your rights and exercise them and not be scared to file complaint against any of the people in the courthouse or turn your attorney in for inadequate representation!

People recieve outrageously high sentences for small offenses if any offense, even when they are first offenders. The police harass anyone they don't recognize and driving while Black is a HUGE issue! I also don't agree with the Duncan Banners tactic of printing everything the person has ever done even when they are the victim or have been killed. It's outrageous and needs to stop, If anyone wants to know if the deceased has committed any crime ever in life, they can research that information for themselves. A grieving family should not have to read about their loved one's character being assassinated. I only know of you Black people that have ever worked at the courthouse. Annie Jewel Newman and Larry Cuberson and this mentality has been going on for more than twenty years.

I agree with this not because im african american but because i see this daily how the duncan banner over exaderates these newspaper stories and how these underclass communities are the main ones being the target just because they think we dont have the brains to realize what they are doing. Everybody should be treated equally here but instead some are getting a fed hand while others are left to suffer knowing they dont have ends meat to get out the extra situations that are added in there cases. I hope this city and any other city gets help and gets someone to stand up with us while we make peace instead of what these upperclass men want which is war.

My mom is a 65 year old women that lives on a fixed income they arrested her for harboring a fugitive and gave her 2500 in fines and five years of probation. She had no money to get a lawyer. So the courts appoint her one and that's what she got out of it. My brother got 25 years for having a little bit of drugs in another case. I lived there for 19 years of my life and heard people telling me stories about what the court house and police department did to them. I was attacked in school by one of the police departments son that about killed me and we tried to have something done about and it was pushed under the rug he got off.

We have to stand for what is right, if we say nothing then the behavior continues. If the issue is addressed and people in power are made aware that we the people know what they are doing, we don't like it and will not stand for it, then and only then will there be change.

Justice will prevail... My brother has sat in there sinch March after Easter.. Just now being shipped off.. Almost 6 months he sat in there and never spoken to his lawyer or anything. Shenanigans has always been going on there! I will never trust the corrupted system again!!
