Parents have full authority over their own children. Let them decide what is best for their family.
FWISD should not be ranked as low as they are is so many areas. It’s time for new leadership.

Remove this awful leader. He is using our children as pawns in a political scam. He has done nothing but make the district worse. Our s sores are an all time low, our at risk youth are dropping out at record numbers, and his lack of leadership and preparedness during 2020 goes to show how inept he is. Scribner DOES NOT BELONG IN FWISD!!!

FWISD is going in the wrong direction with so much money and emphasis, time in classroom devoted to Critical Race Theory and the other directives mentioned in the petition. There is limited time in the classroom. Ther are limited funds. Both classroom time and funds should be directed at student learning , not indoctrination. Students are lagging in basic skills. Nothing sets a person back more than lack of education or poor education. I’m a taxpayer. I’m a retired teacher of Spanish and American history. Critical Race Theory is not grounded in fact or history and has no place in our schools.
Regarding Covid restrictions, the children have already suffered immeasurable loss both educationally and emotionally. The risks of Covid at this point do not outweigh the irreversible damage that has already occurred from isolation and mandatory mask wearing. They need to see faces to develop emotionally and socially. They need to see faces and hear clearly in the classroom. Hearing and understanding language are hindered by the mask. Language and learning are directly negatively affected by the mask alone. There is definite harm medically to children from having to wear a mask all day, as stated in the petition. One a half going on two years is a LONG time in the life of a child. I do not support the current administration of the FWISD. The most vulnerable children and families are the least capable of finding alternative educational options. Others with more resources can opt for parochial or private schools or have the luxury of home schooling with one parent staying home to be the supervisor of education.

Parents are in charge of their children’s health and well being. A school district and superintendent’s focus should be focused on educating our children. FWISD is failing. The education of Fort Worth children is not their top priority. Kent Schribner needs to step down as superintendent of FWISD. He is seen all around Fort Worth not wearing a mask. He is a hypocrite and makes decisions based selfish reasons for his own political gain.
