Step Down Maine GOP Officials
It is our position in the light of what appears to be blatant voter fraud in Maine with respect to the Maine GOP caucuses, that the officials responsible for the Maine GOP caucus in 2012 step down immediately. Over and above incidents of voter supression, the head of the Maine GOP has stated publicly that he is not listening to his constituency. See following quote from the Portland Press Herald: "I didn't make the rules, the party made the rules," said Maine GOP Chairman Charlie Webster in a telephone interview Tuesday morning. "I've got 900 emails and I'm just going click, gone, click, gone ... not even opening them." The party rules say that not only shall votes be counted but they shall not be changed. At least one caucus chair from Belfast reports that not only was he told not to read the caucus votes aloud but when he realized his votes were not being reported he called the GOP HQ and erroneous vote tallies were read back to him. He tried to correct those numbers but revent caucus totals still show a zero count. The GOP head and his staff need to step down immediately. Please sign and circulate.
