We are requesting the implementation of The STEM program at the middle school level for the students of the Parma City School District STEM elementary. Not merely Project Lead the Way, albeit a good program, but a true all day STEM program similar to the current elementary program for these students. You have created a program where the children are empowered. They are charged with thinking, innovating, and working as a collective. In doing so, you are creating responsible individuals who are no longer centered solely on promotion of self, but on that of their peers in their group as well. They have learned to respect others' ideas and produce an excellent product from the blend of group ideas. They have learned communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity, skills many adults lack. They are leaders amongst their peers and role models of their school.
